A small game saw the newly-named Sir Mordain leading a small strike force to attack a group of lizard men and establish a foothold at one of the gates to their cavernous lair.
It was a tight field so the battle joined quickly, by the second turn half the lizardfolk forces were over the bridge and fighting Mordain’s men.
I had thought that the lizard mens’ superior Armor Class would help them fair better in the battle, but Mordain proved to be a powerhouse with lucky dice rolls, rolling a 6 every turn for three turns!
The last lizard man warrior is slain and the lizard archer’s morale breaks!
As the troglodyte archer attempts to flee into the cavern entrance, Mordain’s archer gets a perfect shot, eliminating any chance of an alarm being raised below. An advantage has been gained.
I enjoyed reading this battle report about this fun game. Lots of entertainment distilled into a small gaming board and minimal figures.
