I’ve been on a terrain building kick! Like a terrain recycling monster, just grabbing things and building. Maybe it’s because work has been rough these last few weeks. Or maybe it’s because I discovered I’ve actually got a knack for making things I like. Below are some WIP photos of what I’m working on right now:
The very important substructure of my latest Tudor home. I imagine is as a merchant’s house, which you’ll see in a bit.
Front door/wall has been rammed/blown open, you can also see here the “shark fin” support under the roof panels, with a matchstick size piece of wood completing the run.
Here’s the building right side up, finished but unpainted.
Painting the roofs.
The finished product! I loved the red, but I wanted to go with green for this building. I’m going to build a much larger Noble’s house with a tower on one corner in the future; that’ll have red daub.
I’ve also started work on a ruined tower. The stone is leftover blue foam sheet, I’m trying out etching the stone shapes into the foam then painting over it. This building is mainly a tester to try new methods, but I think with a few nights’ work it’ll look neat.
That’s what’s going on in the land of Brush and Battle! We’ll return to regularly scheduled mayhem soon! Haha!
The real question, should I use the term Mordgrave or Frostheim to describe these Mordheim/Frostgrave buildings? I’m more partial to Mordgrave due to the lack of ice in my stuff!
Mordgrave sounds good. At least I think I understand perfectly what it's supposed to mean.
ReplyDeleteThat’s exactly how I feel about it too. I think it means medieval weapons, mercenary attitudes, and multi-level ruined buildings. Lol!
