Search Party, Ep. 2

When we left off at turn 6, Sir Reginald II had secured the missing peasants, and was now moving to the second matter at hand: investigating the woods to put the villagers’ simple minds at ease. He passes peacefully through the forest at first.

However, just as he is beginning to think it must’ve been the wind those hunters heard, an arrow whizzes past his helm! Bandits in the wood spring forward to attack his small party.


Within two turns, two bandits have fallen, as has one of Reginald’s archers.


By the end of the bout, all of Reginald’s retainers, including the faithful Felstadt, have been wounded! But he is victorious, and so approaches the cave...


As he does, he feels his spine quiver, for something sinister slithers and scrapes within the dark walls. Perhaps the peasants were right after all?


Not desiring to tempt fate any longer, Sir R2 gathers up Felstadt’s wounded frame and rides with haste to save his sergeant, and perhaps hire some adventurers to delve the cave...

So, no lizard men were encountered, meaning that only 2/3 of the quest was completed. However, I now have official excuse to test an idea that my best friend suggested for underground play... :D

I will be posting soon to showcase the rules (which have been adjusted) and the addition of “character traits” for named characters!
