An Ambush in 28mm

I also got a quick little battle in to try out my 28mm Reaper minis.


The battle saw two adventurers pitted against a skeleton and a bugbear.


The skeleton missed his shots and was dispatched quickly. The bugbear, however, whom I lovingly nicknamed “Beast” after the children’s story (Beauty and the Beast), is more resilient.

The Beast took a hit, but slew the adventurers. I had fun. I want more of the 25-28 “heroic” scale figures, but 1/72 are so much more affordable. We

  1. The stones make terrific scenery especially the bridge which reminds me of ancient bridges on Dartmoor. Figures look the part very much.

    1. I hadn’t heard of Dartmoor until I read your comment. If I ever make it across the Atlantic, it is on my list! It’s absolutely beautiful.
