I appear to have hit a wall. The summer months have been too hot (102+ Fahrenheit), I have been recovering from an injury, and a recent change in employment has had me down.
I finally fished out my wargaming supplies (they’d been buried), so I am going to game a little something in the next couple of days. Every time I got out the troops, someone needed me for something else, so I was unable to do anything!
In more upbeat news, I have become quite taken with the Roger’s Rangers set by Armies in Plastic. I think I’d like to order them soon. The French and Indian War was something that I glossed over as a youngster so as to not confuse facts with the American Revolution (there were tests to be taken about that, after all!).

Looking ahead, I’m hoping to gain steam in the coming months as colder weather moves in. Who knows what has happened for Sir Reginald II in the past months? Or how big of a threat the lizard men have become? And wouldn’t it be so wonderful to see some Close Little Wars played among blocks and books pitting Roger’s Rangers against some Iroquois or (more likely, currently) a few orcs and fairies?!
I think many of us go through times when real life takes our hobby enthusiasm and energy away. Glad to hear you have started planning again and I look forward to seeing your forthcoming games. Often a wee game helps lift the spirts too and sense of achievement. Hope your injury continues to move forward.
