Try an apple, Dearie?

I’ve started back painting the last few days. The prime piece of focus is a witch figure I got in a free set with an order from good old Noble Knight Games. They’re a stateside supplier who actually sells Essex 15’s and other minis I love. The witch (pictured below) came with a really neat mini battle mat and card craft cottage, which has yet to be built.

I’m going for a very folklore style with my painting, the name “Baba Yaga” resting on my tongue as I paint her patched robes and ancient flesh. I’m trying to do a good job and really put a lot of effort in on one figure. Maybe it will give me motivation to make some more of my Perry HYW figures?

Also receiving some love are my 17th century figures and goblins, who have been sitting in my painting tray for months!

I really like the goblin flag bearer and crossbow-goblin.

I’ll try to post finished pictures and a battle report as I test out some new ideas for games. I’m feeling the itch to dungeon delve again, but it’s difficult, of late, to gather the old party for some Dungeons and Dragons.

    1. A pretty neat figure for a “free item if you buy X amount” deal! I’m really working to do it justice.

    1. There will be. The witch is getting finishing touches added now. I’ve got a couple of Perry figures I’ve started work on as well.
